Accounting Support Specialist

Job Description

Reserva is looking for an accounting specialist experienced using Odoo/OpenERP to support clients with their bookkeeping and accounting related questions. Reserva offers ERP software as a service (SaaS) for the produce industry; our focus is small and medium sized businesses in the agriculture sector. We recognize that an ERP system could be too complex for smaller organizations, particularly in the accounting area. We are looking to address this by incorporating a full time resident accounting expert to support our clients with daily questions about using Odoo (our ERP backbone) and how to maximize Reserva capabilities. Specifically, the Accounting Support Specialist will be responsible for conducting remote training sessions via web conferencing and phone, answer technical questions related to accounting, and proactively offer advice and guidance to clients. The role is expected to support several clients concurrently, working with different companies throughout the day and scheduling follow up calls as needed. 

This is a full time, remote position. The candidate will be expected to cover standard business New York (EST) or Texas (CST) time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide training and ongoing education in Odoo and accounting capabilities
• Support clients with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Support with bank reconciliations and financial reporting in Odoo
• Support producing accounting reports and export data for fiscal requirements.
• Support Reserva’s internal development efforts with accounting considerations, concepts, and business requirements.
• Assist clients preparing journal entries, accruals, and real time inventory valuation
• Assist with month and year end closing, providing strategies and guidance. 

Requirements:

• 5 years of accounting experience, CPA degree a plus.
• Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• 3+ years of experience working with Odoo/OpenERP.
• Experience supporting other functional areas using Odoo
• Knowledge of inventory management and real time inventory valuation.
• Experience working with businesses engaged in manufacturing, distribution, or any other business activity where carrying inventory is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual: English and Spanish
